25 to 27 Months
You have passed the period when your child goes through a “vocabulary explosion.” This was a time during which your child should have acquired an enormous amount of words within a short period of time. Coming out of this period, there are children that can use over 600 words. However, as there is a list of consonants that your child is still unable to pronounce properly at this age, it may be difficult for strangers to understand what your child is trying to say. Your child will become able to communicate using only words and without the help of any gestures.
It is a good practice during this time to give praise to your child when she achieves something, even if it is small. Praising leads to confidence of success and helps your child feel that the world is a positive place.
Milestones: 25-27 Months
